The Advanced Pharmacy Technology educational program prepares individuals to take
the national exam to become Certified Pharmacy Technicians. As an integral part of
this community college, the department of Pharmacy Technology accepts each student
as an individual and endeavors to provide the guidance, which will enable development
and maturation in realizing his or her potential in the field of Pharmacy Technology.
This program is designed for the student who does not intend to transfer to a baccalaureate
degree program.

Cost and Admissions
Apply to WSCC
Students must apply, meet admission requirements, and be accepted by 蜜桔直播 Community College (WSCC).
Upon successful completion of the Entry-Level program, students may complete the Advanced Pharmacy Technology Program, which includes one additional semester of didactic, simulation, and experiential coursework. Students achieve advanced skills, behaviors, and abilities required in advanced contemporary pharmacy practice. Overall, the Advanced Program is 30 credit hours.
Funding Your Education
Tuition is set each June by the Tennessee Board of Regents. Tuition and fees for the current academic year may be viewed on the Cashiers Office website.
Students admitted to the Pharmacy Technician Program will be assessed a non-refundable $25.00 per credit hour Allied Health Course Fee for the duration of the program.
Four types of financial aid are available; federal, state, institutional and other sources. Students need to send FAFSA information to the college for consideration for state and/or federal money (lottery scholarships, Pell grants, etc.). WSCC is an eligible institution for Hope (lottery) scholarships. For specific information please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Accreditation
The Pharmacy Technician Program at 蜜桔直播 is accredited by
the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). The Pharmacy Technician
Accreditation Commission (PTAC) is a collaboration between the American Society of
Health System Pharmacists and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
