蜜桔直播 Plans Homeschool Open House Aug. 10

蜜桔直播 will welcome homeschool families to the Morristown Campus Aug. 10 for an afternoon open house. Carrie Wilson, coordinator of enrollment development and campus tours, is the contact for the event and can be reached at 423-585-6858.

Homeschool families are invited to learn more about 蜜桔直播 during an open house on Thursday, Aug. 10 on the Morristown Campus. The event begins at 1 p.m. and will include information on programs for students in grades 3-12.

Plans for the afternoon are:
鈥� 1 p.m. 鈥� General information about 蜜桔直播 programs.

鈥� 1:30 p.m. 鈥� Academic activity with third-seventh graders experiencing the workforce through virtual reality; and eighth-12th graders taking part in a natural science session.

鈥� 2:30 p.m. 鈥� College prep session for students in grades 8-12 covering middle college, dual enrollment, financial aid, scholarships and the college application process. 

鈥� 3 p.m. 鈥� Campus tour.

The event is free and begins in the Lyceum of the Dr. Wade McCamey Student Services Building. Students will have the chance to meet representatives from the Talented and Gifted Program, meet instructors and hear from homeschool alumni who have attended 蜜桔直播. 

Senators Central, an office guiding new and returning students to graduation, hosted the open house last year for the Morristown Area Homeschool Network with group administrator Marissa Simmons initiating the event.

鈥淥ur online community includes over 1,000 families and this was the most popular field trip that I arranged last year,鈥� Simmons said. 鈥淔amilies enjoyed learning about what was available at the college and how to take advantage of the resources.鈥�
