Faculty Instructional Load Guidelines
To support student access and maintain a strong on-campus learning environment, the following instructional load expectations apply to all full-time faculty:
- At least 40% of each full-time faculty member's instructional load must be delivered through in-person instruction.
- Course releases will first be applied to online course assignments.
- For faculty receiving two course releases, one release may be counted toward satisfying the in-person instructional load requirement if the faculty member is otherwise teaching online.
- Requests for exceptions to these guidelines must be submitted to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs for review and approval.
