Adventure Schedule

Railbike Adventure

Date: October 16, 2026
Time: TBD
Trip Fee: None
Additional Costs: Students are responsible for covering all food costs. We will have one meal stop on this trip.

Trip Overview: Get ready for an unforgettable journey into the Blue Ridge Mountains with Andrews Valley Rail Tours! On this fun 9-mile, 1.5-hour round trip, you will pedal or ride along historic train tracks through lush forests, scenic farms, and charming town edges. Keep an eye out for colorful wildflowers, curious farm animals, and maybe even a majestic bald eagle along the way, before traveling through the historic, hand-carved Valley River Tunnel. On the way back, we'll stop off for a small (bonus) hike to round out the day!

Transportation: Transportation will be provided from the WSCC Morristown campus.

Trip Requirements: Students should be able to lightly pedal or sit comfortably on a ride, and walk over uneven ground.

Treetop Climbing Adventure

Additional Costs: Students are responsible for covering all food costs. We will have one meal stop on this trip.

Trip Overview: We are heading to Navitat Knoxville, an outdoor adventure park located on a scenic bluff overlooking the Tennessee River. It offers six thrilling adventure trails with elements like ziplines, bridges, swings, and climbs, ranging from easy to extreme. Set in the Ijams Nature Center, the Treetop Zipline Adventure lets you explore the forest from above, with over 60 exciting challenges. Join us for a truly unique climbing adventure! Plus, we'll do a (bonus) hike exploring the Ijams Nature Center.

Transportation: Transportation will be provided from the WSCC Morristown campus.

Trip Requirements: Students need to be comfortable with heights and have general fitness.

Mystery Hike
